In the course of their common history, human- and veterinary medicine have always complemented each other and helped to establish new insights. I am very pleased about this cooperation in the field of cancer research in which yet again medical- and veterinary medical knowledge will unite to form a new path to progress. The University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna supports the initiative “RedPaw – cancer research for pets” in every sense.
