Submission and Allocation

The Society "RotePfote - Cancer Research for Animals" aimes at promoting scientific projects in the field of "Comparative Medicine" (Oncology, AllergoOncology) as well as the development of new treatments for animals with cancer.
The chair of the „RedPaw“organisation and the scientific advisory board meet once a year to define terms for calls for proposals according to the financial recources of the Society. Submission dates and criteria will be announced on the „RedPaw“Homepage on time.

Furthermore, the chair of the RotePfote is commited to strengthen the field of "Comparative Medicine"  in the sense of ONE medicine for animals and humans. As intermediate stage, the "Comparative Medicine" has now been  included in the official development plans of both the Medical University Vienna and the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna by explicitly naming the society RotePfote.
 These efforts are aimed at a lasting implementation and strengthening of the oncology research at universities for the benefit of animals and humans.

RotePfote Comparative Medicine Project Promotion
Due to a generous donation by the magazine WIENERIN, the RotePfote was able to promote  two research projects each with the amount of 6.000,- Euro in April 2009. The call was adressed to Postgraduate and PostDocs who are doing research with the focus on the above mentioned field.
